The KRYO 65 dosing grinders
is designed to set new quality standards for grinding and dosing
espresso coffee, operations which are essential for obtaining a high
quality beverage in the cup. The Rancilio LAB technological department
has developed a patented revolutionary system which allows optimum
extraction and ensures the creaminess and body characteristic of a
perfect espresso.
Grinding chamber cooling system (Rancilio Lab patent)
Die-cast aluminum fins enclose the grinding chamber, extracting and dissipating the heat generated by the friction caused by the mechanical action of the burrs. This considerably reduces the operating temperatures, leaving the aromatic properties of the ground coffee intact.
The brass grinding chamber is in direct contact with the aluminium body of the dosing grinder, thus preventing any possible problems with the adjustment ring. The flat burrs in 100% steel are subjected to the special ThermoSteel heat treatment to ensure durability. The motor and grinding chamber are mounted on an anti-vibration base to reduce noise and vibration.
The new KRYO 65 dosing system significantly increases the precision and consistency of the programmed doses, with settings from 5.5 g (min) to 10 g (max), currently one of the widest ranges in the category. The ground coffee is dispensed into a high quality and shock-proof container in food-grade polycarbonate.
The polished aluminium adjustment knob is fitted outside the doser, ensuring greater ergonomics and hygiene. The meticulous attention to detail is also reflected in the residue removal device, which ensures better cleaning of the container. The innovative delayed filling system ensures constantly fresh ground coffee, and limits the number of grinding cycles for greater durability of the dosing grinder components.
